Play time: 3 hours Hero: Amaranth the Warlock (6) Note: This one-shot adventure was written for low-level play, but since we only had one player for this session I allowed him to super-charge his solo character to level 6. This had… interesting results. Fire in the Sky Lonely warlock (of undeath and plants) Amaranth was […]

Witches of Frostwyck: Session #11
The adventure continues! Last time, our heroes met with the witch-lord Dama Zhadna and learned how to escape from Frostwyck, discovered the true nature of the one-eyed thieves and their many-eyed master, and then accidentally turned most of the villagers of Frostwyck against them… Oops. We continue right where we left off in Grave Titan Harvest, somewhere deep underground where miners, books, and wizards have all gone missing. Can our heroes save the miners? Will they exchange all the books? Or will they be eaten by adorable little mushroom people?
After my crew finished Ragged Hollow Nightmare, they wanted to carry on with their characters. So I decided to place a little sandbox mystery just outside of town: Grave Titan Harvest. Will they find the lost miners? Will they befriend a dead sky-whale? Which mad wizard will they kill first?

He couldn’t say what exactly, just that it put him off wanting to be alone with her. And he didn’t want to […]
Dungeon Age short story: “Paladin”
(This is story #4. Previous: “Ghost“. Next: “Outlaw“.) “We’re all gonna die!” Amos grabbed the young soldier and hauled him back toward the flickering torch. “No, we’re not. Now run, for Gideon’s sake!” The soldier scrambled back up the steep rocky tunnel, his bloodied sword clanging dully against the walls as he stumbled and gasped. […]
Dungeon Age short story: “Wizard”
(This is the first in the short story series. The next story is “Dusteater“.) “Do you have any idea who I am?!” Malachi teetered on the edge of the wall. Behind him, the desert floor spread out to the horizon some hundred feet below. In front of him, thirty blue-cloaked soldiers raised their spears and […]
